 Open Then we reaches the collar of Riedmatten (2919m). Once on this top, it is necessary for us to go down on more than 100m, by borrowing this ladder. |

 Open And finally this is the arrival in the Cabane des Dix where we spend the night! The refuge is approximately at 9500ft . |

 Open Thursday morning September 11, 2003, departure with a quite gray time. But the sun try some openings between the clouds, and it gives some colors. |
 Open Way up in direction of the Mont Blanc du Cheilon. In fact, we pass by a collar located at the east of it. |
 Open On the way, we cross some beautiful crack. With the agreement of the guide, I bring back some photographs. |
 Open While approaching the Pigne d'Arolla (12400ft), a sunny interval appears. But it will not last... |
 Open The plays of shade and light, amplified by numerical correction gives an interesting aspect of the snowfield in altitude. |
 Open The proof... But we don't discourage ourself, and the GPS will take us to the next refuge. |

 Open And we are finally in the Cabane des Vignettes thanks to the guide and the GPS. The refuge is at about 10200ft, and we are able to eat a bit after several hours of walk. |

 Open We find paturages, unfortunately a bit turned yellow because we are on the end of the summer. We walk up again towards to the Cabane Bertols, barely visible on this photograph. |
 Open We stop in the middle of the day close to a hurdy-gurdy shack to eat a little and make some photographs. |
 Open The Cabane Bertols, 10860ft. There is no wind this day on this pass, the evening is splendid, and even rather warm thanks to the sun! |
 Open A view capture since the Cabane Bertols, eastward, towards Zermatt. It is the glacier of the Mont-Miné. |
 Open We arrive at 16 h in the Cabane Bertols. We clear the terrace of snow, we get a tan in the sun, because we have chance this afternoon to have no wind. It is rare at this type of place. And we photograph the birds which come see us. |
 Open The guard of the refuge arrives with the helicopter towards 18h, therefore 2h after us. Our guide ask him only for us! |

 Open We eat a bit, and we go outside before going to bed. The sundown is very nice. |
 Open Saturday September 13, departure in direction of the Tête blanche (12170ft). For it we cross some big snowfield, since the soil is not much bumped at this place there. |
 Open Once arrived on top, we have a nice panorama on surroundings... |
 Open The first part of the way is done in big snowfields on glaciers. It is approximately flat, and it will not last! |
 Open In a descending way to Zermatt, the things become more complicated. Crack is numerous and profondent. |
 Open Then descent to Zermatt. We have done some round-trip some in descent way to walk around this type of things... |
 Open But often these cracks are nice! |
 Open But we have succeed. Here is the Cervin/Matterhorn seen from top... |

 Open Then descent. Small stop to savour the good pies in Schonbielhutte. The guard speaks French very well, and is a very good cook! |
 Open We went out of moraines. Now, Zermatt is not far! |
