Open The first day, we lands in an airport isolated near Coilhaque. We follow in minibus the road named "Jour1". The first panaroma of Andes of Patagonia is the following: It will be approximately the same thing until Punta Arenas: a small forest until 3300ft (mavbe a little more), then snow and glaciers above 3900ft to 4900ft according to degree of latitude . Open	Open It is a photograph of the Lake "General Carrera". The wheater was nice, and we even could have a swim at the end of day:	Open
Open On the edge of this lake, a seaplane offers to fly above the north ice field for $90. Here are some photographs. This is a valley which sinks between the glaciers, and behind these glaciers there is the north ice field and the Pacific.	Open A river seen from plane...	Open The north ice field, and the first clouds of west coast appear. This day, it will be absolutely covered on Pacific coast, and we will have a fine weather in the lake " General Careira ".

Open	Open	Open It must be a view on Cerro Arenales (11410ft), a summit in the middle of the north ice field (day 4) in the massif of San Rafael.

Open	Open A wooden fire in the evening in the camping (at the end of day 4). The guardian cooks a lamb in the evening cooks in wooden fire, like a michoui...	Open In view of on the vicinity of campings. We had -5°C in the early hours in morning, but it was good in the day... An instant of after the meal, with some more log to restarted fire.. .

Open The day 10, leaving El Calafate, we discover rocks with original colours (sedimentary deposit).	Open We are in front of the glacier Perito Moreno. The height of ice varies between 200 in 260ft, and the glacier moves is of 5.7ft/day. It is directly fed by the south ice field.	Open

Open The trek is finish. Take off from Punta Arenas for Santiago. We sees pretty landscape...	Open ... that I photograph! Then I apply a good numerical correction to delete the white of the air.	Open
